IELTS is jointly conducted by British Council & IDP managed by Cambridge University Press ESOL Examination to asses Listening, Reading Writing and Speaking Skills. There are two types of IELTS test categorized on the basis of the purpose:
- Listening : 4 sections, 40 questions, 30 minutes, 10 minutes to transfer the answers.
- Speaking: 3 parts, 10-15 minutes.
- Reading : 3 sections, 40 questions, 60 minutes
- Writing: 2 tasks, 60 minutes
- Listening Reading and Writing are conducted the same day in one go.
- There is no break once one enters examination hall or once the Exam starts
- Speaking can either be the same day or within the period of a week choosen for the Exam.(Before and after)
